Software Development / Data Analytics
Learn the foundational skills needed for high-wage, entry-level employment in technology in either software development or data analytics. This program is targeted for students who need assistance developing the math and technical skills required for these career paths and successful students will earn either a certificate in Software Development or Data Analytics.
The program begins with the two foundational courses in math and programming in each program taught in an adult education model with extra student support. Students will then choose to pursue either the software developer or data analyst tracks. Both will include a paid 12-week internship for hands-on, real-world experience at the end of the program.
Students will take a math pre-test to determine eligibility after an interview. GED or high school diploma is required. Must be a Rhode Island resident.
Training Dates: May 30, 2023 – Summer 2024 (Data Analyics) or October 2024 (Software Developer)
- Courses - weekday evenings, dates/hours may vary
- Internship - 12 weeks over summer 2024 (Data Analytics) or fall 2024 (Software Developer)
The May 2023 training is full and no longer interviewing candidates.
